The challenge

A live identity has to move.

Canvas is Miro's annual flagship event. Its identity needed to work beyond static graphics: It had to feel like Miro on every screen, from the venue to social.

From idea to motion

Concept → Storyboard → Motion

Canvas 25 intro storyboard: the 25 icon bursting open into a tunnel of motion
Intro storyboard: the 25 icon, the tunnel and the product moment
Canvas 25 storyboard scenes: shapes in momentum, AI pulse and the closing Canvas 25 lockup
Scene storyboards: momentum, the AI pulse and the closing lockup

I developed concepts and storyboards that gave the motion team a clear narrative spine: how each moment should unfold, where energy should build and how the event identity should behave over time.

Where it started

Canvas 24: the first frames.

Pulling interface elements towards the board became a starting point for Canvas 25.

Motion across the experience

One language. Many moments.

  • Event screens
  • Intros
  • Transitions
  • Social
  • GIFs

The same motion ideas worked across venue screens, transitions, GIFs and social posts.

Collaboration

Directing motion, together.

I worked with the motion team on concepts, storyboards and the way the identity should move for both Canvas 24 and Canvas 25.

I set the direction and worked with the team as they developed and animated the final pieces.
